    How to check BSNL Broadband Usage

    Their are two types of BSNL Broadband subscribers,

    For First Type of Subscribers (Subscribers who check broadband usage with their portal id (eg: abc77925012010) or the subscribers with IP 117.xx.xx.xx (See Right column to know your IP))


    For Second type of Subscribers (Subscribers who check broadband usage with their username and password only or whose IP is 5x.xx.xx.xx (See Right column to know your IP))

    LAN IP Settings

    For Windows Xp

    • Go to Start menu in your computer.
    • Now open "Control Panel"
    • After that go to "Network and Internet Connections"
    • Now go to "Network Connections"
    • Right click on Local Area Connection and go to "Properties".
    • Now go to General Tab and double click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)".
    •  Click on "use the following IP address" and enter as follows
      • IP address: 192.168.1.25
      •  Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
      • Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.2, if you are using USB)
      •  Preferred DNS Server: 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.2, if you are using USB)
      • Alternate DNS Server: keep it empty.
    • Now click on "ok" and again click on "ok"

    How to Create a Dialer

    A Dialer is needed when modem is in Bridge Mode.

    For Windows 7

    • Go to Start menu in your computer.
    • Now open "Control Panel".
    • Then go to "Network and Internet".
    • Now go to "Network and Sharing Centre".
    • Click on "Set up a new connection or network".
    • Select "Connect to the internet" and click "next".
    • Select Broadband and click next.
    • Now enter User Name and Password and click connect.


    For Windows Xp
    • Go to Start menu in your computer.
    • Now open "Control Panel"
    • After that go to "Network and Internet Connections"
    • Now go to "Network Connections"
    • Click on "Create a new Connection"
    • Click "Next"
    • Select "Connect to the internet" and click "next"
    • Select "Set up my connection maually" and click "next"
    • Select "Connect using a broadband connection that requires a username and password" and click "next"
    • Enter BSNL in "ISP name" and click "next"
    • Enter your Broadband username and passoword and click "next"
    • Click on "Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop" and click "finish"

    UT 300 R2U Configuration

    • Configure LAN IP address. 
    • Open Internet Explorer and enter 192.168.1.1 (192.168.1.2, if you are using USB cable) in it.
    • Now it will ask for user id and password.

      • User id: admin
      • Password: admin
    • Now a new page will open. Click "Run wizard". 

    • Now a new window will open. Click "next" on it 
     
    • Select "Indian Standard Time" in the next window and click next.
     
    • Their are two methods to connect broadband, one is PPPoE mode (Automatic mode) and the other is Bridge mode (UID and Password mode)
    • Click on Bridge mode or PPPoE mode as u wish. 
    • For Bridge Mode
      • VPI: 0
      • VCI: 35
      • Connection Type: 1483 Bridged IP LLC
     
    • For PPPoE mode
      • VPI: 0
      • VCI: 35
      • Username: "your Broadband username"
      • Password: "your Broadband password"
      • Connection type: PPPoE LLC

    • Click "Next"
    • Now click "Restart" and wait untill the modem reboots and ur modem has been configured.
